Position Overview:
As a Network Field Infrastructure Technician (NFIT), you will be a part of a crucial team that is responsible for maintaining and commissioning the cabling, antennas, grounding, electronics, and other applicable components on water towers, cell towers, buildings, and other elevated structures, to provide high-speed wireless internet connectivity to the underserved individuals in the rural parts of the Florida panhandle and parts of Alabama. You will be trained by the Director of Operations or his/her alternative designee in tower safety and all other aspects of the job. The Network Field Infrastructure Technician will report to the Director of Operations or his/her alternative designee.

Job Responsibilities:
- Pass a written and physical tower safety test within 60 days of hiring
- Install, align, and test wireless internet radios and antennas at heights up to 500 feet daily
- Install, terminate, connect, secure, and test dc power, grounding, and data cabling for all devices on towers and other elevated structures as well as in electronics enclosures at the base of each tower
- Dig trenches, lay conduit, backfill trenches, and pull cables through conduit
- Drive 10-foot ground rods into the earth for ground ring
- Exothermically weld #2 ground wire to ground rods, towers, and bus bars
- Participate in an on-call rotation that dispatches to network outages within 2 hours of notification and troubleshoots and repairs the outages in a timely manner
- Assist the installation, warehouse, and construction teams as needed
- Use computer skills to configure networking gear for network sites
- Work with hand tools and power tools
- Follow industry and company standards regarding safety policies and procedures per OSHA, ANSI, and NEC
- Install rebar
- Build concrete forms and work with concrete material
- Assemble towers

Work Environment/Hazards:
- Working in outdoor elements such as cold, hot, precipitation and wind
- In proximity of heavy machinery and moving vehicles
- Moderate noise level
- Use of PPE
- Working in elevated places such as towers
- High level of interaction with external/internal clients
Physical Demands:
- Frequently moving, transporting, positioning objects of at least 75 pounds or more
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffoldings, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
- Must be able to climb roof tops of all types and to perform job duties from high places.
- Must be able to pull own body weight plus equipment weight up roofs and vertical tower repeatedly
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, and climb ladders and communication towers and work in an elevated position
- Frequently required to use hand and power tools
- Must have the ability to climb extended heights of 500+ feet daily
Position/Schedule:
- Non-Exempt
- Monday - Friday
- Occasional weekends, nights, and holidays
- Full-time
- Overtime as needed

Travel Requirements:
- 0-20% travel required, mileage reimbursement or with company vehicle. May require some overnights.
